Is this correct?

Are these lines correct? Could you tell me if the tenses are used correctly?

"Haha. No I wasn't at the octoberfest, I visited a good friend of mine who moved (or had moved or has moved? Which to use and why?) to munich to study medical engineering. We were exploring (or explored?) the old town and tasted (or were tasting?) a few of his favorte beer flavors (but beer really isn't my type of thing after all ) When do you have time to meet up? and yes - I think I have witnessed the last hot day this year in munich without any chance to see a pool or a refreshing lake.

I would revise it as follows, as I understand it: Yes, I'm in Munich right now. I didn't attend Octoberfest, didn't have the time. I came to Munich to visit a good friend of mine who's studying biomedical engineering at _____ University.

I just want to stress that I was already home in Hamburg when writing these lines - would that change anything?

Hmm. I don't understand the "moved to Munich" sentence. He moved there four years ago. This really is

Sorry. It was a typo, now corrected.

If he moved to Munich four years ago, then the present perfect is not appropriate.

Thank you!

"I wouldn't have had to visit him (conditional past with "have to") because he still would be living (would have been living?) in Hamburg (and not in Munich). Does that make more sense? Or how would you say it?

I am a little confused because I'm not sure whether this sentence is a if-sentence construction (If I had done..., I would have done...)
