is this correct?

Is the following sentence correct? can I put 'a series of...' in the same sentences with 'consist of'?

The collection consists a series of four jackets, created from drape(or draping)

* drape/draping -as in making garments from scratch by placing fabric over a stand as opposed to flat patterns

Thank you

The collection consists of a series of four jackets created from drape (or draping). I don't think I would put a comma there. I am not sure about the "drape/draping" part.

Do native speakers say this?
I just thought 'the collection' itself already implies a group of something, so would it still be correct to use 'a series of..' since both have the same or similar meaning?

"consists of a series of four jackets" is OK. I guess you could argue that "a series of" doesn't add much, especially since you've already said it is a "collection", but even so I see no problem with the wording.
