Is this correct?

Bruenor, with his dying strength, managed to activate the lever, but he then succumbed to his wounds.

It's correct, grammatically, but I'm not sure you want "dying strength" which seems to be oxymoronic. Perhaps something like "final effort" or "with one last dying effort" ?
