Is this correct/

Our home has a bathroom. This sentence is saying that the home that we own has a bathroom, right?

Well, yes, sort of. I don't know of any modern homes that don't. If you want to be clear that you have one and only one, it's better to say "Our house has one bathroom" than "a bathroom."

With your original sentence, my response (mental if not spoken) would be "Yeah, I would like to hope so."

It's saying that the home that you own or the home that you live in has a bathroom. It's possible that you are renting the home, in which case you don't own it, but you can still call it "our home".
