Is this correct?

1)If I'm watching a movie and I want to describe what the guy is doing in the movie, it is correct to say "He is cutting the bread." and it is incorrect say "He cuts the bread.", right?

2)Is this sentence correct?

She is beautiful. It is incorrect to add "a" before beautiful, right?
