Hi, I was never popular with anyone (or even a particular group for that matter) during any of my school years. We usually use the word 'popular' in relation to a group of people eg Tom is popular with the girls in his school. We don't say eg Tom is popular with Mary.

I was never popular with anyone (or even a particular group for that matter) during any of my school years.

We usually use the word 'popular' in relation to a group of people

eg Tom is popular with the girls in his school.

We don't say

eg Tom is popular with Mary.

I suggest this.
