Is this corrcect?

I don't know why but it seems a little bit akward to me.
So... I want to hear your opinion.

Is the sentence especially the part underlined correct grammatically?
If it is incorrect, how do you think it should be change?

I think you just need to add "does": Just as China has its Dragon and Indonesia has its bird-like Garuda, so too does Singapore has its Merlion . I'd personally just get rid of the "so too". "

I think you just need to add "does":

Just as China has its Dragon and Indonesia has its bird-like Garuda, so too does Singapore has its Merlion.

I'd personally just get rid of the "so too". "...bird-like Garuda, Singapore has..."
