Is this completely correct? And should it be "although" or "though"?

1. This is confusing to me. If her body was never recovered, how could it have been laid in the lake? Perhaps it's the confusion with lie/lay (common even among native speakers!). Perhaps you mean "body was never recovered and is presumably lying in the lake.
