Is this completely correct and is it clear that the "him" in the 2nd sentence is Hederick?

The two plainspeople were confronted by the drunken Hederick, the High Theocrat of Solace, who then fell into the fireplace. Tasslehoff tried to knock him down with the disguised Blue Crystal Staff, which caused two things to happen: Hederick was healed of all his injuries, and the staff’s true nature was revealed.
