Had a debate with someone.. a person in a chat room got yelled at because people aren't supposed to use strong language, and they're not allowed to substitute or censor to get around it.. no "oh poop" or "d@mn it!". Someone said "whoa, i nearly shat myself" and got yelled at for "censorship".
I argued that shat is generally accepted as the past participle of "***". Since the speaker did not alter their original message to suppress some undesirable element, it's not censorship. He was using the past tense of the uncensored word ***. He should have been yelled at for cussing, not censorship.
Would you consider him censored or just cursing in that instance?

Many people would consider it an offensive and unpleasant thing to say or write. Is 'chat' done by typing the conversation? If so, how do you yell?
