Is this an example of verbal irony?
In Huckleberry Finn:
The widow told him not to smoke, yet the widow smokes as well
"Tom Sawyer he hunted me up and said he was going to start a band of robbers, and I might join if I would go back to the widow and be respectable.” A band of robbers is not supposed to be respectable
