Is this American or British English: Let's go get.... ?

I'm sure that it's grammatically correct to say:

(1) Let's go and get some water.

I've heard people say something like this:

(2) Let's go get some water.

In (2), there is no conjunction joining two verbs. Some of the native English speakers I talked to said (2) is OK.

Is it American or British English? Thanks for your help.
