Is this all worded correctly?

Upon arriving in Southern Ergoth, Alhana’s people tried to set up and settle in their new settlement of Silvamori. Alhana soon received news that Silvanesti had fallen to the dragonarmies, so she decided to swallow her pride and travel to the city of Tarsis to seek human assistance in freeing her nation. Before Alhana journeyed to Tarsis, she attended the first meeting of the Whitestone Council on the Isle of Sancrist to ensure that an alliance was not formed between the humans and the Qualinesti elves. Alhana would have stopped any type of coalition between the races; however, that was a worry that she did not need to have since no type of agreement could be reached.
