Is this all worded correctly?

The companions took the orb first to Southern Ergoth and then to the Knights of Solamnia, who turned the relic over to a gnome named Gnosh in order for him to study it. When the Whitestone Council convened on the Isle of Sancrist in 352 AC, the different parties argued about who should possess the orb and were prepared to start a war over the artifact. Determined to end the dispute, the kender hero Tasslehoff Burrfoot shattered the orb into thousands of pieces by throwing it at the sacred monolith known as the Whitestone.
