Is this all correct?

Is this all correct and is it clear that the "them" refers to "the army"? After successfully delaying the horde’s advance for the short time that the army needed to escape from the field, Kara and her surviving horsemen joined them in the retreat towards Hulburg while Mhurren’s victorious forces gave close pursuit.
