Is this acceptable English?

Hi. Please let me know if this is grammatically correct and acceptable English. Is "bumps over" correct?

She looks into the glove compartment and finds a can of soda. She opens it and is about to take a sip when suddenly she bumps over something. She pulls to a stop and gets out of her car.

"Bumps over" is good, but I would change a few things:

She digs around in the glove compartment and finds a can of soda. She opens it and is about to take a sip when suddenly her car bumps over something. She pulls over and gets out.

"Looks" does not go well with "finds" in this setting, and she is driving, so she would have to take her eyes off the road and lean over pretty far to
