Is this a Relative Pronoun?

Hey folks, quick question. I'm pretty sure that the use of "that" below is not as a relative pronoun, but I still wanted to confirm.

It was the drive to be better than the competing team at soccer that motivated my team and me to put in extra hours of practice.

Thank you Emotion: smile

It is a relative pronoun. Relative pronouns stand in the place of a noun phrase, acting as the subject of the verb. It is not a subordinating conjunction because subordinating conjunctions do not function as a NP.
