Is this a good introduction to my speech?
Like people, most nations have had difficulty at one time or another in their history. Somalia, Africa's eastern most country is no novice to this. Since the 1990s, when the military dictatorship of Siad Barre collapsed, there has been a state of unrelenting sporadic anarchy, and a vendetta of civil war that has crippled hopes for government, if not permanently, severly. Hot conditions prevail year round, along with periodic conflict both internal, and external. And that's all I can think of at the moment.
