Is this a good introduction paragraph for my essay on Romeo and Juliet?
I really would like someone to judge my intro paragraph below please) In Romeo and Juliet, a tragedy written by William Shakespeare, Friar Lawrence plays the role of a knowledgeable and God-fearing priest. In the story he serves as a mentor to Romeo and Juliet who are both young and naive. Because of the couple's innocence, it is not difficult for the friar to control them and their actions for his own gain. This ultimately ends in Romeo and Juliet's own demise. Due to his arrogant assumption that he knows the will of God and his desire to manipulate teenagers into a plan that will generate praise for himself, Friar Lawrence is the person who bears the most responsibility for the horrible events in Romeo and Juliet.
