Is this a good intro for my persuasive essay?

Have you ever been to a high school sports game? If so, do you remember the fans? Chances are, they were excited, cheering, and eager to support their team. Have you ever wondered who was behind all this enthusiasm? It may have been their cheerleaders! Cheerleaders are the students responsible for all this school spirit. Enthusiasm for sports games at this school seems to be lacking. AMSA must consider adding a cheerleading squad to the school because it will increase school spirit, create a sense of unity, and is also considered an intense sport.
