Recycling A Must In America



Recycling is important in the effort to preserve our environment for future



generations. We are running out of locations to put landfills. Recycling is a simple and



effective way to reduce the amount of waste stored in landfills, yet many people do not



know how easy it can be. Everyone in America needs to recycle. Recycling should be an



obligation and not a choice. Recycling must be mandatory.



In the United States population is inflated every year. The amount of

space for landfills decreases every day. Everyone should recycle, to help the

landfill problem, help the environment, and help produce new products from recycled

goods. We need to have an eco-friendly and greener environment.

know how easy it can be. For example, whenever I go to the grocery store and I bring



home the groceries, I do not just throw away the plastic bags. Instead, I save them and



use them as trash bags for the small trashcan in my room. It seems like a small effort



but the way I see it, I save money on trash bags while helping out the environment.



If everyone recycled then there would be less need for new materials to be made out



of unused resources; instead they would be made with recycled materials. Recycling



saves a lot of natural resources because every time you turn something into the recycling



center part of that is reused on a future product. This is a healthy solution to reduce



pollution . Some people argue that natural resources are for the most part replaceable,



such as trees, or too abundant to worry about, such as oil. However, the fact is that



currently trees are being cut down faster than it is possible to repopulate the forests.



Trees serve as a habitat for many animals in the wildlife. Trees give us shade, fresh air



and prevent floods by absorbing water through its roots. The benefits offered



by these gifts of nature are endless. This is why it is very important that we do



our share in reducing the use of paper, reusing old and used paper and recycle paper



whenever it is possible.
