MLB Postseason
It is October and to baseball fans it only means one thing the return of the postseason.
This postseason will feature some great games like: New York Yankees versus Minnesota Twins
and Tampa Bay Rays versus Texas Rangers. The American League Division Series will begin
October 6, 2010. The first team to play will be the defending champions the New York Yankees
versus the Minnesota Twins. The Yankees are going for their twenty- eight world championship.
Being a Yankees fan since 1999, I am very excited that we are once again in the
postseason however, I would like the Yankees to win the World Series again. Last year, the
Yankees won the series versus Twins with great pitching from CC. Sabathia, and Andy Pettitte.
After the series was over, I laughed at the Twins mainly because I felt that it was too easy for the
Yankees. The Twins are not good at all. I am somewhat glad that the Yankees are playing the
Twins this year again.
In order for the Yankees to repeat as champions: They will need their big hitters Alex"
Rodriguez, and Mark Teixeira to play well in every game, and for their bullpen to be able to get
outs when they need it. The main reason why the Yankees are champions is because they got
numerous clutch hits from Alex Rodriguez. I was shocked mainly because Alex in his career
struggles in the Postseason. Well, that was last year. In order to be concern a "Yankee" you must
be able to hit in the Postseason. I will be looking forward to seeing if Alex can continue his hot
streak this season.
