It seems to me that a few verbs can appear in this abbreviated form.

Do as you are directed is the meaning, and with 'directed' an abbreviation is possible. Abbreviation is not common with most other verbs, however.

Sometimes this kind of abbreviation is called 'telegraphic style'.
