Is this a correct sentence?

Here is a joke in a conversation between my friend and me. I am really interested in the highlighted part. Can I really use the word in that way? Could anyone explain it to me, and help me check the sentence? Great Thanks in Advance.

Lucus: I ate only a leg of a shrimp, and my legs swelled up within between 2 hours. My entire body will swell if I ate this shrimp. – I am very swelled already. (I mean fat, but I don’t want to use that word, because it’s a joke. I need a word which means very swelled already. And the shrimp would make her swollen into bigger)

Thank you very much.

Is there any other mistake in the sentences?

Why can't I use swelled? My Oxford dictionary shows this "swelled, swollen; or swelled, swelled". Is it because swelled is only for population? For example, the popular has swelled in recent years.

I didn't know that 'swelled' was acceptable as a past participle. Then you may use it, I suppose, though it sounds odd to me.

Aha! Yes, there it sounds better than 'swollen''; it suggests the action more than the condition.

Thank you. English is so complicated. Emotion: smile

Well, in English, we don't eat the shrimp's legs—they are tiny—so I don't know what sea creature you may be talking about. This would be more reasonable:

I ate only one crab's leg, and my legs swelled up within 2 hours. My entire body will swell if I ate the whole crab. – I am very swollen already.

Thank you.
Are the sentences still correct after the changes?

I ate only one crab's leg when I hung out with my friends, and my legs swelled up within 2 hours. My entire body will swell if I eat this whole crab. – I am very swollen already.

Yes, that sounds fine, Lucas.
