Is this a correct compare and contrast paragraph?

Punishment and discipline are closely related, but there is a difference between the two. Discipline is about teaching people to use correct decisions in their everyday lives, while punishment is about delivering pain to another person without a value behind it.

Similarly, both punishment and discipline are connected when you are instilling disciple in somebody it can be seen from their perspective, as if you are punishing them. Likewise, punishment works the same as discipline because you can be punishing somebody because you hope it will instill discipline in them.

Although, these words can be used with the same purpose there are notable factors that stand out. An example of discipline would be if a child broke a lamp and the parent made them do chores to pay it back to teach the value of money and punishment would be hitting a child because they broke the lamp without a lesson behind it.

In conclusion, punishment and discipline are related to each other, but the key factor is when you are disciplining someone you are training them to choose correct decisions, while punishment is about delivering pain to another person without a lesson behind it.
