Is these sentences written correctly (thank you in advance)

I have found a way to use in my daily tasks the knowledge I gained from my chemistry education. My objective is to make minimum use of hazardous chemicals in my working place and using environmentally benign chemicals to protect the environment. I am also trained in many bio-sustainability programs such as waste management and using of food waste for bio-gas production.

Dear Philip: In this sentence: I have found a way to use in my daily tasks the knowledge I gained from my chemistry education.

What do you think if I use acquired instead of gained? Does it sounds better or there is not a very big difference.

Not much difference, I think. My personal preference would be acquired, but I couldn't begin to tell you why.
