is there such a quotation?

Hello
I have a doubt
in a printout which my teacher gave, I saw this symbol '" (quotation embended)."'
I wish to know whether there quotation marks with both typewriter single quotes and type writer double quotes ("'..."')?

John said, "I don't understand the word 'ephemeral'".

Is this what you mean, shylesh? I have added colour to highlight the form within single quotation marks

I believe you will have to type them individually. I'm unaware of a function key or ascii code that will get them both at the same time.
