There are times not every question about English can be explained by conventional rules. YOu just have to accept it and remember it. If you are asking about the apartment you are interested in but not a lot was on the ad, you can call and ask the owner " Is there a microwave in the kitchen/ tub in the shower?". Is there - is the equivelant of "to have" often used in a context where the subject seems absent. Looking at it another way, " Does the apartment have a tub in the bathroom/ microwave in the kitchen.

As long as there is a slight possibility to win, I won't give up.
