Adjectives add all sorts of endings: interesting, tired, suitable, scientific, cylindrical, anonymous. There are not just 2 'kinds' of adjectives, and they all can refer to emotions, so they are not divided in that way.

What you have noticed is that two types of adjectives are derived from verb forms, the past participle (-ed) and the present participle (-ing). It is true that the '-ed' participle as adjective often refers to the quality called up in the observer ('I am interested in circuses') while the '-ing' adjective often refers to the quality inherent in the object of observation ('Circuses are interesting.')
