Is there anyone out there who don't mind helping me?

I need help with CPT questions. I'm struggling to get a score of 75 on the CPT. I really need that score to get into the nursing program. I need practice, practice, and practice. Emotion: smile If you want to help, then please do! I will go ahead and post 4 questions:

“Sesame Street” is the most thoroughly researched television program in history. It was studied before it went on the air and has been analyzed since. Its success in achieving its basic goal, improving the reading arithmetic, and other basic skills of young children, has been well-documented. There is also some evidence that children imitate the human behavior they observe on the program. These harmless, often amusing imitative acts may justify the current concern about the effects on children of televised violence.

According to the passage, children watching “Sesame Street” tend to

.Imitate the violent behavior they see on television (I choose this)

.Learn only scholastic skills well

.Teach younger children what they themselves have l earned

.Copy what they see the performers do.

One of the rights a citizen of the United States is supposed to have is the right to a fair and speedy trial. Unfortunately, as people who are charged with crimes quickly find out, trials often occur weeks or months after the arrest. People accused of crimes must sometimes spend the time waiting for the trial in jail. Trials cannot take place quickly because court calendars are overly crowded, probably because there are not enough judges. Clearly, something must be done to reform the judicial system so that a fundamental right is guaranteed.

The main ideas of the paragraph is that

. Criminals are often detained for unnecessarily long periods

.courts is overcrowded and judges are overworked.

.a basic right of United States citizens is being violated

.The judicial system is being reformed. (I choose this one)

The light dazzled me as my sight returned.

I saw a blur; it gradually turned into a face.

The eyes appeared and the nose took shape.

The objects in the sentences are organized according to

.When they are seen

.how far away they are (I choose this)

.what shape they are

.how bright they are

At a distance of ten feet, the eyewitness mistook a vase of flowers for a woman wearing a fancy hat.

Subsequently, the testimony of the eyewitness was disregarded by the jury.

.The first setence contradicts the second sentence

.The first sentence presents an event and the second setence its consequences (I choose this)

.The second sentence illustrates the point made by the first sentence.

.Both setences describe events which occurred at the same time

Top answer

Copy what they see the performers do. Try again. The passage makes a broader point than just the imitation of violence.

1) .copy what they see the performers do? (I actually chose this one) OK
2) courts are overcrowded and judges are overworked? No. That's a detail. Read the first and last sentences of the paragraph.
3) when they are seen? OK Is it really so hard? Consider words like 'returned',

I thought of "what shape they are" at first! but don't know what happened. That's the answer, right?

As for question number 2, I think it is a basic right of United States citizens is being violated. I read it again and it makes sense! I think I need to read carefully! I will do that with the rest of the questions and post them here for you to correct it if that's OK with you.
