Is there any ommission?

Hi

Please take a look at this sentence:

The new West is bereft of any romantic myths, already transformed by farm mecahanization.

Shouldn't the bold part be "already has transformed by farm mecahanization"?

The new West is bereft of any romantic myths, already transformed by farm mecahanization. Shouldn't the bold part be "already has transformed by farm mecahanization"? -- No, not at all, since it is a nonfinite clause in passive voice.

  • The new West is bereft of any romantic myths, already transformed by farm mecahanization.
  • Shouldn't the bold part be "already has transformed by farm mecahanization"?
  • -- No, not at all, since it is a nonfinite clause in passive voice.
  • However, I think the clause is misplaced and therefore ambiguous.
  • It should read: The new West , already transformed by farm mecahanization , is bereft of any romantic myths.
