Is there any difference in meaning because of a comma?

?1. Life is too short for me thinking there are still a lot of things to learn in the universe.

2. Life is too short for me, thinking that there are still a lot of things to learn in the universe.

Q1) Are both sentences natural and grammatical? I think 2 is, but 1 is not natural, though grammatical.

Q2) Is there any difference in meaning because of the comma? I think there is, because due to the comma, 1 is interpreted like "when I'm thinking there are still a lot of thing to learn in the universe, Life is too short for me".

Am I right?
