Is there any difference between these sentences

I realized that she had stretched the truth when she started to mumble/mumbling.
I realized that she stretched the truth when she had started to mumble/mumbling.
I had realized that she stretched the truth when she started to mumble/mumbling.

Did I realize first, did she stretch the truth first, or did she mumble first?
