is there any difference between the two versions?

Hi,

(1) Given that the course is self-paced, completion time may vary from participant to participant
(2) Given that the course is self-paced, completion time may vary for each/any participant

Any noticeable difference in meaning between these two sentences?

(I am asking this question because (2) would sound a lttle unusual if translated verbatim into my native language :-)

Thank you so much!
