Is there an expression for this?

Is there a saying in English that expresses the idea that there are all kinds of people in the world, and some of them are stranger than others? Basically "it takes all kinds" but more derogatory or scornful, something one might mutter under breath when seeing someone else doing something stupid or looking/acting eccentric?

I need this for a translation. In my native language, we have a saying that translates to "the Lord's zoo is multifarious." Is there anything similar in English?

Thanks in advance.

" The first means: "If you so-and-so turns you on or interests you, whatever. " That might not be the same sort of phrase that you were looking for, though.

When someone does something strange or has strange preferences, we sometimes say in American English: "Whatever floats your boat" or "To each his own." The first means: "If you so-and-so turns you on or interests you, whatever. I don't get your preferences, but I don't care." The second means something like "Everyone likes what he likes [even though I don't]."

That might not be the same
