Is there an English phrase for this?

Hello Emotion: smile

Is there a phrase in English to describe the fact that a person does something in their private life because they're so used to doing it in their professional life for instance a cop suspecting everyone or a shrink trying to analyse every person they meet, all this because that's part of their job and it "rubs off" on their private life?

I hope it's clear enough. Thanks for any help Emotion: smile

Ah. In my native language we use it for deformations because of one's profession, no matter where the deformation becomes conspicuous. One learns something new every day - thanks

Thanks for the suggestions. I found "Professional bias" somewhere; the definition given seems to match my original idea.
