Is there a way I can cut this down into one sentence?

Hi.

The physiotherapist, a nurse, and Robert stand by James. The physiotherapist and the nurse explain the next steps in James' recovery to Robert.

(The location (a hospital room) and that James is lying in a hospital bed is known to the reader.)

Is the above correct?
