Is there a term for these?

Hi;

I'm curious about special terms which are used in daily life. E.g. "I take my car to the garage" in meaning "I get it repaired". Is there special term for these daily sentences?
"I go out with my friends and have fun"
"like always I just worked"

by the way; was my example sentence correct? { "I take my car to the garage" in meaning "I get it repaired"}

Thanks

Hi, I'd just call them 'ordinary, everyday remarks'. The simple present tense commonly suggests you are talking about your routine. I'm curious about special terms which are used in daily life.

1. You'd typically hear: "My car's in the shop." or "I took my car in to the shop."

2. You'd perhaps hear: "I'm going out." or "I'm gonna hit the town."

3. You might hear: "I'm just a working stiff." or "I'm just another 9 to 5 guy."
