Is there a problem here?

Good evening to everyone.

My sentence is: “I came to Paris to meet Emre when Emre calls me.”

Is “when Emre calls me” correct here?

Some people said that It is wrong, it must be “when Emre called me”.

But I don’t think so. Because,

The sentence doesn’t mean “I came to Paris when Emre called me.” It is not.

I want it to mean “I came to Paris and I will wait for Emre to call me. When Emre calls me, I will meet him. So my reason to come to Paris is to meet Emre when emre calls me.”

Finally, “when” is connected to “meet”. It’s not connected to “came”.

Therefore, It must be :

I came to Paris to meet Emre when Emre calls me.

I hope that you all got the idea.

What do you think?
