Is there a difference between the following two sentences ...

As title,

(a) life has always seemed to be throwing curve balls
(b) life seems to have always been throwing curve balls

Is there a "better" way to say something of the same/a similar (?) meaning ?

Neither of them sounds "natural" to me, but I don't know how better to
put it.

Any help? Thanks

Of the two, I prefer (a), but they are a bit problematic, as you have already mentioned. These are simpler, but I don't know if they fit your needs. You might consider them.
