Is there a difference?

Hi there,

A) Is there a difference between:

1) I've taken a taxi and I'm on my way.
2) I took a taxi and I'm on my way.

I think that the first one might be said in the situation where somebody is speaking on the phone and is informing the other person about that. The second one seems like it's wrong in this context.

B)

1) I'm sorry I'm late, I've been stuck in a traffic jam.
2) I'm sorry I'm late, I got/was stuck in a traffic jam.

C)

1) I've taken a taxi to get here.
2) I took a taxi to get here.

Thanks
