Is the word 'Those', properly used?

Those spas that were affected were the HotSpring & Limelight models.

Anonymous Those spas that were affected were the HotSpring & Limelight models. I wouldn't consider it improper as long as we can assume some earlier discussion by way of prior context. But I think "The" would be a better, higher register choice.
