Is the word order correct?

Can someone please check my sentence?

"This suggests that on average developing countries have not reached their steady-state growth path yet."

The sentence before this one was: "On top of that, it is essential to comment on the divergence in growth rates between ‘Population growth’ and ‘Labor force (Employed) % of population’."

I suggest some commas (to avoid tendency to read "average developing countries" as a phrase) and moving the word "yet": This suggests that , on average , developing countries have not yet reached their steady-state growth path. I question whether "on average ... have not reached" is quite logical.

Thank you. I was indeed struggeling with the word 'yet'.
Well, in my report some countries may have reached their steady-state, but certainly not all of them. Does this make sense?

If the majority haven't reached steady-state then it loosely makes sense, but in a precise scientific or mathematical context I would argue that it doesn't. If you have fifty swans, thirty black and twenty white, does it make sense to say that on average they are black?

Is "This suggests that most developing countries have not yet reached their steady-state growth path." better?
Do I need a comma?

If that's the case then yes, that seems better. No comma needed.
