Grammar

Is the winner/Is the winners/Are the winners?

Our football team is the winners.

Our football team are the winners.

Our football team is the winner.

Which sentence is grammatically correct? I read that all the options are correct, but I want to be sure. Thanks in advance!

US English and British English treat "team" and the like differently. In the US, "are the winners" is not used in this case. "Is the winners" sounds odd.
