Is the use of "as well as" correct in this sentence?

During the journey to the ruined city, the companions made their way through the Qué-shu village, only to discover that Verminaard and the Red Wing had destroyed the settlement as well as devastated all of the plainspeople of Abanasinia.

Hello Cboutin. The use of 'as well as' is correct, in my view. I don't think 'devastated' is the best word to use for the people.

The use of 'as well as' is correct, in my view.

I don't think 'devastated' is the best word to use for the people.

'Killed' would be better, if that is what you mean.
