Is the underlined structure okay in English?
On January 4, 2008 Bobb met Dilan at the shopping center where he told him that Dino has already bought a ticket for a flight to Spain on January 16, 2012, so that he could be moved across the border of Spain and Portugal by train.

Given that all the dates are past, I would change the third verb to "... Dino had already bought ..."
