Is the underlined part in the correct place?
Hi!
Please take look at the following sentence. Is the underlined part in the correct place?
The aim of the diploma thesis is to research, understand, and analyze the legal status of a firearm and unlawful use thereof, through regulatory enactments of Germany and other countries and researches conducted by law experts, in order to recognize possible problems and deficiencies in regulatory enactments of Germany according to the selected topic of the diploma thesis.
It should mean that I will be using these sources in order to achieve my aim

A few comments.... I think the meaning might be clearer if you wrote "through the study of" rather than just "through". I wonder whether "of firearms" would be better than "of a firearm".

I don't much see the point of "according to the selected topic of the diploma thesis" at the end.
While "researches" is not definitely wrong, the word is normally uncountable.
