Is the underlined comma necessary? Any other improvements necessary?
During the campaign, the callers had a chance to receive psychological help and support and adults were asked to report violence cases in families and in educational and care facilities.

It's optional here, but I would use it due to the length of the sentence. Note that you do need a comma after support because of a new subject and verb (adults were asked).
