Is the tense correct?

Hello everyone.

I would like to know if the tense in the sentence below is correct.

"Bob, having studied a 4-year program in the university, has passed all examinations and graduated."

Is "having studied" here correct or should I use "studying"?

Thanks.

Top answer

"Is "having studied" here correct or should I use "studying"? 'having studied' is not a tense, but a participle, but in any case, it's correct as you have written it because he has finished his four-year program. CJ
