Is the sentence ‘You were there?’ correct?

Or the correct form is ‘Were you there?’
With ‘are’ you put it first like in ‘Are you crazy?’, but I don't know.

The normal order for questions is just as you think.

Are you there?
Were you there?
Are you crazy?
Were you crazy?

But you can ask a question in the form usually used for statements:

You are there?
You were there?
You are crazy?
You were crazy?
